Does it need Wi-Fi to operate?
Yes, Birdbuddy connects to your home Wi-Fi and supports the standard 2.4Ghz frequency. It’s designed for long range connectivity to work well in the garden and around the home.
How do I connect my Birdbuddy?
Download the Birdbuddy app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store and follow the simple in-app guide. It only takes a few minutes and introduces best practices.
Can more than one person connect to one Birdbuddy?
Yes, the Birdbuddy app lets you share the experience with friends and family by adding up to ten people to your feeder.
How long does the battery last? How is it charged?
The Birdbuddy camera will last up to one month on a single charge depending on the mode you choose and will likely never need charging if the Solar Roof is included. Exact duration depends on usage and environmental factors. Battery life may vary due to bird activity, live stream usage, and local conditions, such as sunlight availability for solar charging or colder weather. You can read more about battery life here.
Is the app only in English, or are other languages available?
Our app is available in English (US), English (UK), German, French, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish.
Are products weatherproof? What are the operating temperatures?
Yes, all products are weatherproof. The camera module withstands temperatures ranging from -5°F to 120°F (-20°C to 50°C). It is also detachable, allowing you to easily remove and store it indoors on extreme weather days. We’ll notify you via an in-app notification if the camera approaches these limits so you can store it indoors for safe-keeping.
